It totally depends on your interest.MBA does not have a large scope in govt as a fresher as your engineering knowledge will never be used there and mostly experienced candidates are selected. But if you are interested in hardwork and want to rise higher in relatively shorter time you should pursue MBA and then join any of your core companies or at any other private firms.
For PSUs B.Tech degree is enough and you need to apply based on their vacancies.Your stream is not recognised for many of the PSUs like coal india limited etc.So it would be better to go for MBA and then look out for PSUs or for private jobs but complete your MBA from a good institute else all your investments in the form of time, money, labour will be wasted.
