Dear Friend, Yes definitely you have wide & vast scope of Geology in India and other countries.
After B.Sc you have job option in Statistical deptt, Weather and forecasting deptt., Oil and Natural Gas Commission, Geological Survey of India, Various private companies doing excavation works, drilling, piling, etc. need geologists. Additionally, you have option for teaching and research institutions where they wants a geology experts. Apart from India , if you are looking for any other country and want to work in the oil industry, then the right choice will be Kazakhstan where you will get opportunity to work but in India you can try for following government sectors :-

    1.CSIR
    2.UGC
    3.ONGC
    4.BAARC
    5.DRDO

If you are interested in the government job then you have to appear for GEOLOGIST'S EXAM conducted by UPSC. Generally Notification comes in Employment Newspaper in the month of August and exam will be in the month of December. This exam is conducted in three days. In India you can expect a starting salary package of Rs. 28,000/- in Govt Sector and Starting salary in private sectors would be Rs.18,500-25,000/- depend on the company and your performance during your interview..
