Dear Guest,There is a total of 3% reservation for the handicapped. This is as follows :1% for Visually Impaired1% for Hearing Impaired1% for Orthopedically HandicappedIt has been decided that with effect from 01.01.1986, the reservation for the physically handicapped in the Group 'C' and 'D' posts shall be computed on the basis of the total number of vacancies occurring in all Groups 'C' and 'D' posts. The recruitment would, however, be only in the posts identified to be suitable for them subject to the overall ceiling of 50% reservation in that post as laid down by the Supreme Court. For complete details on recruitment policy you may visit the following link.http://www.wr.indianrailways.gov.in/...71,421,423Hope you find the information helpful.

RRB recruits B.Tech mechanical engineers for the post of Senior section engineer in various departments. There is reservation of 3% for Physically handicapped candidates. You have a good chance to qualify if you prepare hard. The bestthing is there is NO Interview for the post of Sr Section engineers. If you qualify the written test your certificates will be verified and if they are ok you will be selected. Moreover, the cutoff for physically handicapped persons is low and their number is also very very less.So if you try a bit harder, you are bound to succeed.Check out employment News and also online in the various RRB websites.Vacancies does not comes every year but the number of posts for mechanical and Civil are very high whnever the vacancy comes.
