Future is safe young friend.Do not panic.And real engineering is always hard be it any branch.Study hard and maintain good percentage for your future because high marks will matter to some extent in getting good placement.You have lot of time now and you can start preparing for govt exams as in IES which will give the best job for an engineer,or in PSUs like BHEL,BEL,ECIL,EIL,NTPC,IOCL etc etc.You can also get private jobs in MNCs as in Samsung,Nokia-Siemens,Panasonic,LG etc etc.Start preparing from now so that time can be utilised.And do not listen to the losers who failed and are a blot n engineering.Its only those losers who keeps on saying about scopes and hard subjects.Nothing is hard if you study.All the best..

Being a Electronics student you can get the job in your core companies.
The Electronics students mostly not prefer the core companies job rather they go for the IT companies, BPO etc.
But they have job opportunities in their core companies itself.
But students were not concentrate on it.
It has a very good scope and the companies will pay a very high salary to the officers of the departments

How to prepare for the examination?

hi dude it is sorry to say that there will be no scope of EC in coming year due to following reason.
1) VLSI the main subject of EC is not being used nowadays so as micro processor and controller
2) In telecom engineering scientist are developing techniques in which towers wont be used, so 90% telecomm workers will have to leave there job
So as u are in yr first sem i will suggest yu to change the field
u can opt for civil mechanical or electrical which are the evergreen branch in the industry..
