Basically there is no such restriction for appearing in various engineering entrance exam , because any student having a matric ie 10th passing certificate and having science as his or her stream ie PCM or PCMB can appear for the test.
Eligibility Criteria:-
You need to be 12th pass or appearing for 12 board.
You can apply for AIEEE only for 3 consecutive times only.

Age Limit:-
The age limits for appearing in IIT-JEE is 25 years. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PD categories age limits 30 yrs.
Minimum marks:-
You have to get minimum of 60% in 12th board.

-> It is compulsory that the student must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths in +2 exam.
-> Candidates who have 50 % above in the qualifying exam are eligible.
-> Candidate who are under SC/ST/OBC/PH having 40 % above in the qualifying exam are eligible
-> Candidates from 17-25 years only can apply for AIEEE exam.
-> Five years age relaxation for SC/ST/PH students. General category for 50% marks.
