Re: What are the eligibility conditions for IPS and SI examinations?

    Hi
India holds a UPSC examination every year to recruit a number of IAS

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1)A candidate should have a degree of graduation in any field from any recognized university.
2)A candidate in his final year is also eligible for the civil services exam. (IPS, IFS, IAS)
3)A candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.

To crack the exam, the preparation requires the right approach along with the right study materials and strategy. The preparation requires focused study rather than plain hard work.

You can read guide books like General Studies Manual, Indian Politics by Lakshmikanth, Ancient History by D.D.Kausambiís, R.S.Agarwal [Arithmetic], Wren & Martin [English Grammar], Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation by Arun Sharma, etc.

You may even study journals and even watch television for important news reports. Reading English newspapers will also help the students to get a good hold on the English language. Always keep the syllabus and past five years question papers.

    The minimum eligibility for SIis

    1) Must be a Citizen of India
    2) Age limit 18-28 (Relaxation as per category)
    3) Minimum 55% in SSC (For Constable)
    4) Bachelor Degree (For Inspector / Sub Inspector)
    5) Physical Requirement

    Height :-

    For Men :- 170cms
    For Women :- 152cms

    Chest :- 82cms

    All the best....
