    Dear Friend, Eligibility for apply in the banking sector would be as per the post you applied .Even every bank have different criteria for age & educational qualification.Eligibility for Clerical Exam is given below :-
    (a) Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university (or) 10+2 examination or equivalent with first class with 60% marks. In case of SC/ST/PH candidates 55% marks.
    (b) Knowledge of official language of the state which you applies is essential.
    (c) Age must be within 18 to 28 years.

    Eligibility for Bank PO exams :-
    You must have a degree in any discipline from a well known University or any equivalent qualification accepted as such by the Central Government.
    No Specific No. of Percentage for IBPS exam eligibility is mentioned, so considering that candidate must only have passing marks in Graduation is enough to get appear in IBPS bank exam 2012.Your age must be within 21 to 30 years

    The Indian banking sector includes co-operative as well as commercial banks. These banks advertise their various vacancies in the newspaper and recruit candidates after taking an entrance exam. For Notification you need to check regularly in employment newspaper (comes weekly)and other newspapers. Most of the private banks hire Ist class graduates for their officer trainee positions whereas the public sector banks tend to recruit Ist class graduates as probationary officers. Private Banks mostly do not hire people at the clerical cadre, though public sector banks hire candidates with +2 or graduation degree at the clerical level.

    Question paper consist of questions related to :-

    Quantitative aptitude
    English
    reasoning
    General awareness
    and
    computer

    There are at least 250 questions (50 question on each topic).
    Questions are of objective type.

    Banking joBS IS the well reputed job post in today world . they have so many private and government banks in india in which you can apply through the entrance exam which has been conducted by the Banks ...

    In the government banks jobs you have to write the entrance exam under IBPS institute in which 19 banks participated...

    === ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CLERKS ,PO'S & SPECIALIST OFFICERS :

    1. Person should completed the 12th for clerk job & Graduation or any equivalent degree for PO'S & Specialist officers.

    2. Minimum 60% aggregate in academics.

    3. Age limit for clerical post is 18 - 30 years and for other higher posts 21 - 30 years.

    4. Person should be from indian citizen.

    === RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR THE BANK JOBS :

    1. Written test.

    2. Personal interview.

    Currently there is no banking notification is there because all notifications are closed in last month itself.But with in few days the SBI is going to release the PO's notifications.

    For public sector banks,exam is conducted by IBPS for recruitment in Clerical post,As PO,and as Specialist Officer.There are other public banks like SBI or several other Gramin Banks which conducts their own examination for the above mentioned posts.
    For clerical Post you need to be an Intermediate or a Graduate with 55% marks to appear in the Test.For PO,you need to be a graduate from any stream with no such limitation in marks.And for Specialist officer,you need to be a Graduate in the required discipline as in Engineering,Law,Agriculture,Computer applications,Management etc etc.The age limit for Clerk is 18-28years,PO is 20-30yrs and Specialist officer is 20-35years.All this is for the exams conducted by IBPS.You can get the information about next exam or advertisement at the website of IBPS at www.ibps.in.
    For other public banks as gramin banks etc,the criteria is nearly the same.
    Private banks generally requires MBA or commerce graduates and Specialist officers with professional degrees.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR banks job :-
    1.Age limit for clerical post is 18 - 28 years and for other higher posts 21 - 30 years
    2. person should be graduate from recognize university at least 50% marks for general category

    IBPS conduct every 6 moth of common written exam for 19 public sector banks requirements. recently IBPS announced the vacancy for PO and clerical post for gramin banks

    To getting the Banking jobs you should have these eligibility:




    You should have passed your 10th or 12th with atleast 60% marks.
    If you are apply for the higher job than you should be graduated and complete your graduation from any recognized university with atleast 65% marks.
    Your age should be in between 18 to 21 years for low level jobs and 21 to 30 for the high level jobs.
    You should be a citizen of India.
    And if you wants go for the govt. sector banks than you should have appeared in IBPS exams.




    Selection will be based upon followings:




    Written test
    Group Discussion
    and Interviews ...


    In written test the syllabus comes from :
    General English
    General Knowledge
    Reasoning
    Computer Knowledge
    Quantitative aptitude


    The exam will be of 250 marks and each topic contains 50 marks....50*5=250marks.....

    Foreign banks or private banks select candidates on the basis of their merit for the position of the officer from the parent organization.



    Nationalized banks and state banks hold an entrance test to select the appropriate candidates.



    The person is required to be in the age bracket of 18-26 and it is mandatory that the candidate has a graduation degree.

    Nationalized Commercial banks select candidates for the post of Probationary Officers (PO).


    A candidate holding a graduation degree can apply up to 28 years for clerical and 30 years for PO post respectively.

    The eligibility conditions vary for individual banks like:


    Reserve Bank of India- The examination is conducted at an all India level for the class 1 posts. RBI exam includes English fluency and mental ability tests.


    Private/ Foreign banks- The recruitment process is conducted at renowned institutes like University of Mumbai, University of Delhi, Xavier Labor Relations
    Institute and IIMs.


    State bank and other nationalized banks- The candidates have to successfully go through a written test followed by a personal interview to be recruited
    for the designation of probationer officer. Central Recruitment Board (SBI) conducts the selection process.


    Nationalized Commercial Banks- IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) takes the responsibility of advertising about these vacancies.


    ENTRANCE EXAM:
    The entrance exams in the banking sector generally contain a written test followed by personal interview/group discussion.The examination is in parts:
    • Paper I is a written test comprising of General Mental Ability (Objective type).
    • Paper II is a subjective one which has English Essays/Comprehension/Precise writing etc.
    • Paper III is on Economics and Social problems.
