Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

Dear Friend, B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology. Its a graduation course and M.Tech stands for Master of Technology and itís a post graduation course. In M.Tech, you can do specialization in a particular subject but not in B.Tech as itís the basic course like BCA for computer application and higher degree is MCA. If you are looking for a job, there is no need of doing a masters course but yes definitely you can get more better salary and position not just because you have master degree but you have gained more knowledge and skill which is the utmost important for any public or private companies. Masters degree like M.Tech is mainly for teaching and research related fields. B.Tech will give a well-rounded view or survey of the field of study with a little specialization and M.Tech has higher or advanced courses with narrower and deeper specialization.

Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

it is but obvious that whatever salary you will be offered after m.tech will be greater than what you will be offered after b.tech

because b.tech is a graduation course.
while m.tech means you are gaining an expertise on something.
m.tech itself means that it is a specialization course.
something which you have full command on.

it means you know the whole thing inside out.
    all its ifs and buts.

so that is bound to be offered greater salary.

    none the less,
if you are m.tech, you are expected to know more than b.tech.
and hence you are expected to hold a greater responsibility than a b.tech.

since you have a greater knowledge,(being an m.tech ) you are expected to handle things more responsibly than a b.tech.

it is a but obvious fact that if you are highly educated, you will be awarded higher salary and given greater responsibility.

you can apply to the following companies:

    TCS
    TECH MAHINDRA
    SATYAM
    WIPRO
    M-PHASIS
    I-FLEX SOLUTIONS
    IBM
    HP
    etc.

it doesn't matter whether you are from it field or not, you can always switch to IT .

also you can sit for gate where the following psu's can recruit you on your good score card

    ISRO
    DRDO
    ONGC
    NTPC
    OIL
    IOCL
    NCPIL
    SAIL
    GAIL
    BHEL
    BEL

you can keep checking employment news.

    all the best

Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

Well , B.Tech is a bachelors/graduate degree in engineering and technology. B.E or B.Tech are the same thing.
And M.Tech is a masters(post graduate) degree which is a higher degree than B.Tech.
Through M.Tech you can specialize in your own stream of interest.

The criterion needed to be satisfied to go for B.Tech is given below-
1.one should pass 12th in science stream with mats.
2.one should have scored minimum 50% marks in Physics , Chemistry and Maths (Rule by DTE).
3.One can also go for B.Tech after Diploma/Polytechnic.candidates after diploma are directly admitted in 2nd year of Engineering.

Admission in various B.Tech courses is done through various competitive exams like- IIT-JEE, AIEEE , MHTCET ,M-SET etc...

The criterion needed to be satisfied to go for M.Tech is given below-
1.One should have a Bachelors degree in Engineering and Technology i.e B.E/B.Tech.
2.one should have passed B.Tech with minimum 50% aggregate.

Admission in various M.Tech courses throughout India is done through only one competitive exam known as GATE.

    GOOD LUCK

Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

see my dear friend b tech is a bachelor's degree where as m.tech is the masters degree.
a degree which is higher always have a upper hand on the lower ranked degrees but here is not the case.

while after doing m.tech you can in the research field and can acquire jobs with good firms
with b.tech degree only you can still get a very reputated job.

this is because in the current companies are taking a blend of both m.tech as well as b.tech graduate

here is the comparison between both of them

    PARAMETER B.TECH M.TECH
JOB OPPOrTUNITIES good in both private
    and public
    a little bit more due
    to high degree
SALARY ranges from 25,000 to 3 lakhs upper range is little
    bit high
RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES limited large amount of research opportunities
EXPOSURE both to regional as well
    as international
    same
GOVT JOBS lots of govt jobs are available almost same but they are
    also eligible for lectures post

Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

    Hello friend,

B.tech is the Bachelor degree of the engineering ...after the B.tech you can also get the good jobs in the both private and the governemnt sectors with good jobs ....

But M.TEch is the Master degree in the engineering after the completing the M.tech in which you can study more about that you have study in the B.tech with more explanation ....so after the M.tech you can get the jobs more then the B.tech
after the M.tech you can make your future secure with the M.tech in good university...

M.tech students can also apply for the those job posts which B.tech students can apply and for the further M.tech students have also further more opportunity for the job in the big companies with good post ...

Jobs opportunity for the Both B.TEch and M.tech students:

    1. Civil services like IAS, IPS, IES etc these job posts in which you can apply through the entrance exam under the UPSC.

2.Bank jobs like PO, IT, Technical departments through the IBPS exam score and get the good job posts in the good banks Job posts

3.Defense services like Indian army, Indian navy, Airforce etc so you can apply for these job posts through the CDS entrance exam under the UPSC, SSC exam, AFCET exam under the Indian navy departments

4.BHEL, IOCL, NTPC, power grid etc these government companies job posts through the Entrance exam of the GATE exam score and the interview..

5.Railways jobs in the Group A technical departments through the Civil service exam under the UPCS.

6.BSNL job posts as a junior telecom officer through the JTO exam.

Jobs opportunity more for the M.tech students:

1.Lecturer job posts in the government and private collages through the NET entrance exam.
NET entrance exam conducted by the UPSC two times in the year in the month of june and the december.

    2.BANk jobs with posts like
    Specialist officer
    Senior technical post
    Operation manager
Assistant manager etc... through the entrance exam conducted by the own abnks..

    3.Indian navy job posts like
    Senior technical officer
    General manager
    Senior pilot officer etc...

4.In the government companies with the more better post then the B..tech students etc......

so these are the job posts for the M.tech students ...both are same fields for the jobs opportunity but posts are different ....

    Privates sectors jobs companies like:

    TCS
    INFOSYS
    IBM
    MICROSOFT
    HCL
    HP
    WIPRO
    SATYAM
    ACCENTURE
    MAHINDRA
    SYNTEL etc...

so these are private companies in which both B.tech and the M.tech students can apply through the entrance exam and the interview conducted by the privates companies...

    Thank you!

    dear,
The main difference is that B-Tech is a Graduate degree & M-Tech is a Master Degree. Master Degree will be done after the Bechlor degree.
m.tech itself means that it is a specialization course.
something which you have full command on.

it means you know the whole thing inside out.

Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

    Dear Concerned

There is very much difference between between a b.tech degree & a m.tech degree. b.tech is a bachelor degree & m.tech is a masters. Here, u need to u8nderstand that a masters is always better than a bachelor one as master degree concerned with each n every field contains much more curricular than a bachelor one.

Now, coming to ur question dear, as u asked that the what are major difference regarding jobs, money & responsibilities b/w both degrees. Here, see one thing that what all u have mentioned will u get in m.tech rather than b.tech.

Thus, i would personally suggest u to go for a masters pl.

    FYI.

    Best Regards

First please note that there is no difference between these degrees in terms of value and scope. BE and B.Tech have smilar scope and future and on the same time ME and M.Tech have same scope future.B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology. Its a graduation course.M.Tech stands for Master of Technology. Its a post graduation course.InM.Tech, u do specialization in a particular subject, unlike B.Tech.If u r looking for a job, there is no need of doing a masters course.Masters degree is mainly for teaching and research related fields.

Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

Dear friend, B.Tech is a Bachelor degree of technology and M.Tech is a master degree of technology .
In M.Tech you will read in detail topics which you read previous in B.Tech classes and you will read the whole processes and study about the topic.......
After doing B.tech you can go for both private as well as public sector jobs and also in M.Tech you can go for the same. But in case of M.Tech you should have more opportunities than the B.Tech because after completing your master degree you will be more experienced and you have more knowledge as compare to B.tech knowledge. After doing M.Tech your salary package is also higher than the B.tech level jobs. You can go for the government sector jobs after doing both B.tech or M.tech but after M.Tech you can also eligible for the College lecturer jobs in Government colleges but after B.tech you can also get a lecturer jobs in some private colleges but not in government colleges or you can go for the core companies after doing B.tech or M.Tech ...........But the Master degree is Master or Bachelor degree is bachelor you have more profit in Master degree as compare to Bachelor degree...........thanks

Re: What is the difference between B.Tech and M.Tech?

    Dear friend,

The lower (the first course or degree) is called 'Bachelor', or 'undergraduate' (means 'still to become a graduate'), on successful completion of which one is awarded a 'graduate' or 'Bachelor' degree.
Some graduates continue studies further and join a 'post-graduate' course or program and at the end are awarded 'Master' degree.

............>>In case of Sciences these are B.Sc. and M.Sc. In Arts it is B.A. and M.A. Similarly in Engineering and technology these are B.E. or B.Tech. and M.E. or M.Tech.

so btech is Bachelor of technology & mtech is Masters of Technology.

........>>> In Btech degree You are given a well rounded view, but the specialisation in one field is limited. So here comes the main differnece that in Mtech. you get specialised in a particular field & hence could further pursue in research field.

......>>> If you say about job & money you get employment & good salary packages in both the courses... the difference is that The one who does Mtech has an advantage of doing lecturership in colleges & universities.

***** also Mtech candidates can further go in research field & apply for JUnior scientists post.

***** Talking about responsibility , it varies from posts to posts. it doesnt take either you are a btech or mtech.

So friend If you are intersted in higher studies you can go for master's degree otherwise you can also get a good reputed job from btech only.

    Best Of Luck .....
