What are the chances of getting job in Electronics & Communication field after qualifying in GATE examination?

can i get govt. job in elec. & comm. after GATE? If then what will be my salary range?

I personally feel you need to be more precise because you must also mention presently what are you doing i mean if your pursing your graduation in ECE or completed graduation.

--> As you're interested in doing job before your post graduation.
--> The answer to your question is YES. You can get job based on GATE Examination.
--> But remember that just by qualifying GATE your chances of getting job are very much less.
--> There will be a specific cut off setup by each company based on that you'll be shortlisted for the further rounds.
--> Based on GATE 2012 for ECE branch students there are two companies which are BHEL and NTPC.
--> If you get placed in any of the company then you'll be given a starting pay of 20000/- per month during your training it self.
--> After training you can easily expect it to rise up to 30000/- per month.
--> If you are now interested in writing GATE then i'm sorry but you need to wait for some more time for writing GATE next year.
--> You can also expect that in coming year a few more companies might accept to recruit students with GATE score.

It is a good option of applying for GATE and securing a job. But you must only apply for GATE 2013 as GATE 2012 is over and results have also been declared.

actually , the core companies are looking for the candidates who have secured a good gate rank .

if yu secure a good gate rank , then no need to write entrance exams in core compaies
you will have an intervew only

YOu have completed the engineering in the Electronics and communication .and After clear GATE EXAM you can get the job in the government companies which hire the engineering students on the basis of the GATE exam..
government companies like:
BHEL
POWER GRID
NTPC
ONGC ETC..

these companies hire the students on the basis of agte exam and after that they will conducted the interview .

Others you can do it post graduation in the m.tech after m.tech you can also join the any companies private or government ...
you can join the lecturer posts through the NET exam permanent..

1.M.TECh you can take the admission in the m.tech in the IITs after TAking the good score in the GATe exam.
after M.tech you can get the jobs in the so many IT companie slike TCS, WIPRO, IBM, HP ,HCL etc..

2. ON the basis of the GATE exam four government companies like
BHEL
NTPC
ONGC
Power grid etc

Thses companies hire the students on the absis of the good marks in the GATE exam .

if you have done the engineering in the ECE then you can go for the job. if you have fight the GATE entrance exam then this wiil be very beneficial for you. the score card of the GATE is very valuable.
you can do the post graduation after the GATE. so if you got good rank then you will get the best college in india for the m.tech.
but you want to go for the job before the m.tech then you can do it.
