My friend, only UGC recognised degrees are valid for jobs in any sector. If any University is not recognized by UGC,then that degree is not applicable for any kind of govt jobs but may be valid in case of some rare private firms..If you are from technical background, your degree should also be from a college recognised or affiliated to AICTE in addition to UGC

    Hello,

To be eligible for the government sector jobs the eligibility criteria says that
the candidate must have passed the minimum qualification from the UGC approved college
and the course must be AICTE approved.

Since your BE is not AICTE approved so you can not apply for the government sector jobs.

    Good Luck.

    UGC is University Grant Commission.

It is responsible for defining and maintaining standards of teaching, learning and research at universities and to promote and co-ordinate higher education.

AICTE is All India Council for Technical Education.

It's a professional body that regulates and coordinates all types of
technical programs including MBA. It also says minimum standard of education.

Both are almost of similar importance.

    Hello Friend,

Yes, UGC or University Grants Commission was set up by Goverment of India to co-ordinate and maintenance standard of University education in India. In India UGC gives approval to university and without UGC approval the university has no legal status in India. Hence, UGC validated college and degrees are valid for goverment jobs and private sector jobs in all parts of India.

I do hope this information will be helpful to you.
