Is it true that ECE has enormous scope and job opportunities? Please suggest some core electronics companies hiring freshers?

    Hi all..

Am a B.E ECE graduate. Its been generally said that ece has enormous scope and job opportunities. As a 2012 pass out am finding it very difficult to find a job related to my stream. People post the names of so many ece related companies but everywhere they are asking for some yrs of experience which as a fresher i dont have. Even if am able to find some jobs the salary s very poor. People please do suggest some core electronics companies which are hiring freshers. People who are working in such companies please do help out freshers like me!!

ECE was a stream which had a huge demand years back. But now a days, its having equal importance with other core branches like mechanical, civil etc. ECE has its own opportunities in its core field. Its true that opportunities are more for experienced persons rather than freshers. But companies do select freshers for their openings but the salary may be less during the training period.

There are some good companies in the ECE core field which offers good salary to freshers also. As you have asked, here are some good core companies in ECE stream which hires freshers for their job vacancies.

Re: Is it true that ECE has enormous scope and job opportunities? Please suggest some core electronics companies hiring freshers?

    Hello Dear

You have heard the right thing.ECE graduates do have ample opportunities in market. But why you are not getting a job is a different issue because it all depends on your knowledge, communication skills and percentage through out career. If you are having a first class academic record that 60% through out career then no one would stop you getting a job.But somewhere down the line if your percentage is low then you may have to struggle.I am going to enlighten the best job prospects available in our country for an ECE graduate:-

PSUs : - Some major PSUs giants(BHEL, NTPC, ONGC, GAIL, SAIL, IOCL, CIL etc) of our country have a regular vacancies every year. Some of these PSUs conduct an exam and followed by an interview to hire good many number of candidates from Electrical,Mechanical,Electronics,Civil branches. You may start preparing for these exams by enrolling yourself in some coaching institute or self study techniques. The notifications of such exams can be available from "employment news" on a weekly basis or you may visit freshersworld website regularly. But remember you have to be really good enough in your studies to be able to crack those exams.

Banking Sectors : - Yes this is very much true, even an Engineering graduate can also apply for clerical,PO/MT,AO,Technical officer types of posts in the banks. What you need here is just a degree certificate from a recognized institution or university with 55% marks which I am sure you have it.This sector is gaining a lot of momentum as far as modernization is concerned. Also the number of candidates to hired by the end of this year would likely cross 2 lakhs. So there is a hell lot of opportunity in banking sector. This kind of exams are also not that difficult.Just solving few model questions will really help you get a good rank. But yeah speed is an important criteria in the exam.Hope you understand

I E S/I A S :- If you want a dream job, probably the best paid and prestigious job in our country then you should go for IES or IAS civil service exams. These are central govt exams conducted by UPSC under the guidance and supervision of Ministry of Human resource Development. You may also apply for the technical jobs conducted by staff selection commission or state public services commission to be able to join some respectable jobs in your own state. The jobs that you will be given after qualifying IES/IAS will comprise a mixture of both managerial decisions and technical supervision. The perks and emoluments after salary is really the best.So try to crack this exam. But remember the difficulty level and syllabus for both the above mentioned exams are appreciably high.

You may also try in Defense sector like NDA,Indian Army and other relevant organization working for ministry of defense like DRDO and ISRO.There is a written exam followed by interview in all the above mentioned organizations. You can also try in GATE entrance exam where you would be directly absorbed by some major PSU like BHEL or NTPC through handsome GATE scorecard. There are also opportunities in major central govt wings like Telecom sector,Railways,Income Tax Dept and Postal services. The vacancies are published in newspapers do that they could reach mass people.

So never say opportunities are zero.Just work hard and leave the rest on almighty.Best of luck for a bright future.

Yes their are vast options for ece freshers .There are various public and private sector companies seeking freshers ,freshers can also apply ,in public sector you have to go through their selection procedure which takes much time while in private sector you can get job early as compared to private sectors but these will give you low salary in starting but it will increase with your experience .Some of such companies are:-

    nokia siemens
