After your Post graduation and B Ed. you are eligible to teach senior classes and college level but you are eligible only in private sector because the Central government has made it clear that it is mandatory for candidates to pass Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to land up in a government school as a teacher. The Central government submitted that as per the new guidelines prepared by National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), those who aspire to become teachers in government schools will have to clear TET.

hey thanks for information about SSC and CSC, further i would like know more deatails about these, who conduct these test etc..
I have done MA in Political Science from Delhi University and B.ed from UP. What are the opportunities for government teaching jobs and what would be the starting salary?
Hello,
Since you have B.Ed. you can go for school teaching jobs. You better go for private school teaching jobs rather than government school teaching jobs. For government schools, you will also need the score from SSC or school service commission examinations. Now many a times some organizations do not allow SSC, if you do not go for a TET or Teacher's Eligibility Test in the beginning. So to avoid all these inconveniences, you better go for either private schools or government aided schools(not a direct government school). There your B.Ed. qualification is just enough to get a good pay job in schools for teaching your respective subject. Already your master degree qualification is from one of the leading universities. So right now check the newspapers and go for those schools which have advertised for teaching vacancies.
Hello,
Had you done only B.Ed. I would have told you to go for schools. But on completion of M.Ed. you will be able to get jobs in colleges. But here I will tell you something that there are colleges which never grant an M.Ed. There they want Ph.D. as the potential qualification for teaching jobs. Now wherever they have said that they want teachers with Ph.D. or equivalent qualifications Or with a respective master degree and other qualifications, there you can try. In short you will be able to try for those colleges where in the eligibility criteria, it is not mentioned that they want a Ph.D. candidate only. So for that better check the online job portals like www.naukri.com or www.freejobalert.com or www.shine.com and check out the teaching jobs tab and apply correspondingly.
