    Which subject/course should i choose after B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering for government jobs?

    I have completed my B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) and did not get any job. Now i am preparing for government jobs. During these days i want to do M.A/ M.Sc. I want to know that what subject/course should i choose and from which university so that it will be helpful in the preparation of government jobs. If there are any best university for distance course then also inform me.

    your B.tech degree is enough and more to get you a government job..then,why bother about doing another course?..instead concentrate on the exams that will grab you a govt.job...

    i sincerely advice you to prepare for these exams instead of pursuing distance educaiton from some university..

    you can even join the Indian engineering services .the following are group A services in IES for category II (mech engineers)

    Central Water Engineering
    Central Power Engineering Service
    Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS)
    Indian Naval Armament Service
    Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, a branch in the Indian Army

    Geological Survey of India.
    Indian Supply Service
    Indian Defence Service of Engineers

    Yes,you can do distance learning may be from IGNOU and do the job.But it would not be so good that you make a job part time work and study.It would not be good .You should do study full and do job afterward then you would get much salary.And you would get much salary if you do like this ,but in distance learning ,you will get very less salary.

    BTech in Mechanical engineering itself is a professional course and you get jobs on the basis of this. You can apply to core companies in your sector:
