Which are the standard books for PSU entrance exams?

Sir,
I have given many PSU exam but i have not qualified any exam.I am preparing with self of some standerd books please tell me something better way that i will qualify.

Dear there are two part in Every PSU exam

First is Common exam - include Maths, Reasoning, GK & english
Second is of optional subject - inyour case IT

AS far as first part is concerned for maths & reasoning you should go for R. S Agarwal
For english you should go for Lucents English books also study the course reader books of class 8, 9 & 10..... Specially of NCERT....
For General Knwoledge you can again for Lucents General knowledge books which includes lot of study material on history, geography, indin constitution, economics, banking which is often asked in PSU examss...

Also you can read various magazine alike competition success, competition reviews, Pratiyogita darpan,

For your Second part you should consult with your seniors & faculties,,,,

You can also download sample question papers from net which will give you an idea of often asked subject, topics, terms, from Information Technology,,,

self preparation will not be enogh for the exams like PSU's. you should get a guidance from some of the good institute in your locality as well as from some experienced teacher if available their. you can consult them and get yourself assist. you can also contact to the successful candidate of this exam and you will come to know about all the basic and neccessary things to be kept in mind. you will also get the help in choosing the books that should read for the exams.

hi..the best way to prepare for an psu examination is to bye the gate book o the gk publishers they are one of the best books for the preparation for the public sector examinations also in the case of public sector examination you have to be really good with the standard values because they really ask them directly and also as far as the general section is concerned then just study an national paper regularly and practice books like s.d shrma aptitude that should be enough,and also there is no need to practice tough problems and go because in no case any gate level question also wont be ask

There are no such standard books for PSUs.But the better options would be to have books from GK Publications or Made Easy Publications etc.You can go for RS Aggarwal for Non technical part.from this year GATE is the qualifying exam so you can go for Made Easy Publication books and sample papers for GATE and check previous years question papers of GATE.It would help you.But the main books are your own subject books to have a better command over your basic subjects.All the best...

Actually there are lots of books made for these the public sector exams but not all of them are that helpful.
And In my opinion to get the materials from some coaching institutes like "MADE EASY", which provides practice materials for the public sector exams.
