    Dear Guest,

As in India, so it is abroad, a degree always carries much more value than a diploma. This, both in terms of designation and salary that a candidate commands. However, as degree courses are considerably longer in duration than diploma, the cost factor plays a major role in choosing between the two.

For the second part of your query, as to what course should he opt for ? I feel it is too premature to think about that, as before that he shall have plenty of time to choose and this shall depend on the scores he achieves. He might also have to appear for a few exams like GMAT, GRE, TOEFL etc. before he can seek admission in a college abroad.

    I wish him good luck.
