    See , there are many UPSC exams which you can give in Final year of Engineering and After Engineering .

    Some of them are ,

    -) IAS exam

    -) IPS exam

    -) CDS exam

    -) AFCAT exam ,etc..


    You can apply for the CDS exam in Final year of Engineering and you can also apply for all the other exams which i mentioned above in Final year Itself

    For the CDS exam ,

    Exam Syllabus is ,

    ~ General Knowledge - 100 marks
    ~ General English - 100 marks
    ~ Elementary Maths - 100 marks

    Actually , CDS exam is the exam to join in Defence services



    Books to refer for the exam are ,

    (2) Kiran Prakashan

    (3) Arihant Publication

    (4) S.Chand

    If you are talking about the UPSC Civil services exams, than in this exams there are three stage-Prelims, Mains and Interview

    In the Prelims there are two papers
    Both are of objective type

    Paper oneHistory of India and Indian National Movement.
    Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
    Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights
    Issues, etc.
    General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require
    subject specialization.
    General Science.
    Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics,
    Social Sector initiatives, etc.

    Generally,UPSC conducts these kinds of Exams as follows :

    Civil Services Examination as :

    >>IAS

    Defence services Examination as :

    Eligibility criteria for UPSC Examinations:-

    Nationality:- The candidate must be the citizen of India to apply for the Indian Administrative Service & Indian Police Service.

    Educational Qualification: - You should have a degree completed from any of the institutes established by an Act of Parliament or any University deemed by the University Grant Commission under section 3, Act, 1956.
