You can get lot good coaching instt. for IAS Preparation like KHAN STUDY GROUP, Chanakya IAS Academy, RAU'S IAS STUDY CIRCLE, Career Plus, ASTITVA I.C.S, Abhimanu's IAS Study Group etc. You can depend on books like Indian politics by Lakshmikanth, G.K. & G.S Uniuque Year Book Ancient India by D.D.Kausambi’s Historical Outline, Medieval India By J.L.Mehta, Gandhi & Subhash By B.L.Growers, English Grammar by Wrien and Martin, R.P.Sharma,Thesaurus, N.C.E.R.T. Re: Procedure to pursue IAS exam? Duration of the course?

The duration of the course is about 6 months to 11 months, in reputed IAS training institutes like RAU's ias study circle, Chanakya academy, Brilliant tutorials etc. If you have high thoughts & willingness to bring them true, then try hard to get it. There must be hard work in your preparation. I’ll give you some tips-
*the initiation of preparation starts from the whole syllabus coverage.
*at the time of exam there should be more focus on the important section of the core area.
*at exam time the repetitive revision of the selected section will be very helpful.
*read Hindi or English newspaper regularly for update with GS (general studies) & essays.
