    Procedure to become an IPS Officer after Graduation completion?

    Respected sir ,i'm Biswajeet having a minimum qualification of BSc graduation with zoology honours.I want to became an ips officer .So what are the steps to be followed ?

    IPS stands for Indian Police service.

    IPS exam is conducted by UPSC.There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam.

    Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university are applicable for IPS Exam, the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination

    The Candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years . Age Relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

    • To enter into the Indian police services (IPS), you must have to apply for the civil services examination.
    • This examination is conducted by the UPSC every year.
    • This have total three stages which are preliminary examination, main examination and the personal interview.
    • To be eligibile for this exam, you must have completed the graduation in any stream from an recognised university.
    • The age of your's must be in between 21 years to 30 years.
    • Age relaxations is applicable for you if you are from an reserved category.

    IPS : INDIAN POLICE SERVICE.

    Eligibility :

    *The Candidate should have a minimum of Degree from a Recognized university.

    *The Final year students can also appear for the Prelims.

    *It is conducted by the UPSC every year.


    Age :

    The Candidate should have the 21 years to 30 years at the time of exam.

    Relaxation is 3 years for OBC.

    For SC/ST 5 years.

    There is a relaxation of 3 years for Defense services.

    To become an IPS office, first of all you have to appear in the UPSC Civil services Exams.
    This exam is conducted by UPSC To fill seats in 24 departments and this includes IPS, IAS,IFS,IRS
    etc

    You need to fulfill the below eligibilty to apply for the IPS exams.

    Educational Qualification :
    A Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognised University.
    Final year appeared/appearing candidates can also apply.


    Age Limit :
    General Category-21-30yrs
    OBC- 21-33yrs
    SC/ST-21-35yrs

    Attempts :
    General Category-4 times
    OBC-7 times
    SC/ST-Unlimited times


    UPSC Civil Services Exams are held in three stages: Prelims
    MAINS
    Interview

    Next prelims exams would be held on 26th May 2013

    HI!
    I am happy to inform you that after passing B.Sc you are eligible for I.P.S.

    For I.P.S you have to qualify the entrance exam conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

    It is also called as civil Services exam

    ELIGIBILITY FOR CIVIL SERVICES EXAM:-
    > Pass graduation with any stream from recognized University.
    > The age should be in between 21-30 year.

    Education Qualification

    To be eligible for becoming an IPS officer.

    The candidate must posses a degree form an Indian University or an equivalent qualification.

    Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the preliminary examination taken every year by UPS.

    The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years on.

    They conducted preliminary exam

    After that they will conduct Main exams

    Procedures to become an IPS OFFICER given below:-

    1.Must be a Graduate from the recognized University in any discipline to write IPS entrance exam.

    2.IPS(Indian Police Service)entrance exam.is conducted by UPSC every year.

    3.AGE: General: 21-30 years, Relaxations are there, OBC: 3 years, SC ST: 5 years, PWD: 10 years.

    4.Nationality: Indian.

    5.Attempts: General 4 attempts, OBC: 7 attempts, S/C S/T: No limit.

    Candidates to clear:
    a) Preliminary exam.

    b)Mains exam.

    c)Interview.

    d)Physical/medical test.

    hi,
    It is nice that you want to become IPS officer after graduation degree.

    IPS exam stands for Indian Police services which is conducted by UPSC.

    IPS exam selection process;-

    Preliminary exam, Mains exam And Interview.

    Exam pattern;-

    Civil services Preliminary exam consist two papers of General studies having 400 marks.

    2 hours are given to each General studies papers.

    Civil services Mains exam pattern changed from this year.

    Now Any Indian Language papers consist 100 marks as qualifying marks.

    English language papers consist 100 marks.

    Essay papers marks is same as previous.

    Now general studies papers consist 500 marks.

    There will be last stage of Interview which consist 275 marks instead of 300 marks.

    Why are you worrying,surely you are eligible for the civil services examinations after clearing which you will become IPS officer as the minimum academic qualification required for the civil services examinations is bachelor's degree in any other stream form a recognised university.


    Final year candidates are eligible to give this examinations.


    IPS is the Indian Police services.The examination is civil services conducted bY UPSC every year.It consists of three stages that are :

    >>Preliminary test

    >>Main examinations

    >>Personal interview

    The age limitations for this examinations are :

    General :21-30 years

    Note : Relaxation of three years to obc and five years to sc/st respectively.

    IPS means Indian Police Service.

    To become IPS Officer, one has to give the written exam conducted by UPSC.

    The eligibility required is any degree from recognized university with minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years for general category.

    There is upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates.

    The maximum age limit for OBC Category is 33 years.

    The maximum age limit for SC/ST Category is 35 years.

    Exam Pattern:

    1. Preliminary exam

    2. Main exam

    3. Interview

    Number of Attempts:

    Four attempts for general, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs

    Prelims exam was conducted in the month of May for this year.

    Main exam is scheduled in the month of August.

    You can apply for Civil service examination to become IPS officer.

    In order to become an IPS officer,first of all you need to crack civil services exam.

    UPSC conducts this exam yearly once for the posts like IAS,IPS,IFS etc


    Selection procedure for IPS officer:-


    1)CSAT(Civil Services Aptitude Test)
    2)Main examination
    3)Interview


    Eligibility criteria:-


    1)Candidate should be the citizen of India
    2)Age limit is 21-30 years,relaxation will be there for OBC,ST,SC candidates
    3)Maximum number of attempts are allowed for general category candidates is 4 times ,for OBCs 7 times and there is no limit for SC,ST candidates
    4)Minimum qualification required is graduation,final year candidates are also eligible


    ->For IPS post candidate should have normal eye sight and physically fit.
