Definitely.Nearly all PSUs conduct their own written test throughout the year.Even if the recruitment is done through GATE,some PSUs like BHEL will again bring out recruitment advertisements.You need to keep checking freshersworld.com for regular details.GATE helps you in getting better chances.But it is not the only way.Keep working hard and you will get into a good PSU.All the best..
hi..yes , with out gate qualification you can apply for PSUs but they conduct the exam regarding to that company ...
at present ISRO job opening are released ...http://isro.gov.in/ so apply for that ..and keep an eye on job portals ...all the best...

Yes definately without the GATE qualification one can expect to attain a good designated and prestigious post in nearly all PSU . Generally to get a goverment sector job in PSU you have to have a graduation degree as your qualification, and once you have this and your age has not crossed the specified limit , then you would be surely elligible to get a place in the PSU'S . To get a job in any PSU you have to face various rounds of exam and interview and has to prove successful in them, and once you qualify all the exams , then one the basis of your qualification you will be granted a post in the PSU. The exam conducted as to do recruitment in a PSU'S differs from the pattern and type of question that are asked in the exam conducted by other PSU

Dear Friend, Yes it is possible to get a job in PSU without GATE qualification. Most of the companies have their own written exam but they need at least 65% or 60% through out career but in PSU some company like HAL,ONGC,NTPC,IOCL,BHEL requires 65% aggregate marks and IFFCO,NFL requires only 60%.There are many company which recruits student through GATE score card and they do not take any written exam. After selection in GATE exam they call directly for GD,PI.IOCL company are recruits this year through GATE.

Dear yes off course why not. Almost all the PUS conduct their own exam for the recruitment process. So you can get a job in PSU through that exam too.
To get a job in any PSU you have to be aware for the notification of that particular PSU. when notifications are issued you have to fill the form and then you can appear in the exam. To get notification information of PSU register on some of the job portals like

etc.
you will get notification for PSU there. During registration you have to mention that.

You should appear for the relevant UPSC and other competitive exams to join a PSU. GATE is an eligibility condition only for engineering jobs. For all other jobs you do not have to clear GATE as an eligibility criteria. Almost all PSU's have openings for non GATE candidates as well. Kindly read the recruitment advertisement carefully to see whether GATE is a requirement or not.
Dear friend for the PSU jobs you can apply only throught the GATE exam , so to get the PSU jobs you should be appeared in GATE exam because its necessary for the job..
But if you don't appeared in GATE exam than don't worry you can apply for anothers jobs according to your qualification like you can apply for the
ONGC
BHEL
DRDO
ISRO
etc.......
Mostly every PSU recruit through GATE. But there is no need to get upset, there are other exams also like Engineering Services exams through which government companies and industries recruit.
You can give a try to these exams also. Regarding their own exams and interviews, that information you can get best through news-papers because notifications are always made whenever such exams are conducted. So my advise is to keep updated with the daily paper and also check the ES exam and its further details.
