    Is it possible for a B.Tech graduate (2009 passout) to get a job in Steel and Iron Plant?

    sir, i am btech in mech passed in 2009 ,with 6.3 cgp ,with no exp can i get a job,or what should i read for better job

    These engineers get job in central government, state governments and their sponsored corporations in public sector and in all wings of armed forces and also the private organizations. e.g. :
    Indian Engineering Service (IES),
    Indian Telephone Industries, BSNL/ MTNL,
    Semiconductor, Chip Design-Industries (Motorola , IBM, HP, STM, Philips, IT etc),
    Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (HPCL / BPCL / IPCL),
    Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC),
    Civil Aviation Department;
    Steel Authority of Indian Limited (SAIL),
    Power Sector (NTPC / NHPC Ltd.),
    Bharat Electronics Limited,
    Indian Railways,
    Indus tan Aeronautics Limited (ISRO),
    Software Industries (ALL MNCíS) (HAL)
    ,

    did mtech in electrical in 2009. tried for govt sector for 3 years. couldnt find any job. so obviously got gap. is there any possibility in getting a job other than lecturer field?

    Yes it is very much possible to get job.

    You can apply to SAIL which is one of the best companies in this field.
    To get a job in SAIL you should have:
    1.65% aggregate minimum
    2.Valid gate score
    3.Clear Written test and personal interview

    Yes. You can !
    Steel and iron plant job is one of the core field for a mechanical engineer.

    Junior Trainees is the minimum level from where you can start. they asks for only a diploma in core field.

    Selection procedure:
    >> General Aptitude Test - Basic knowledge in English and Aptitude
    >> Technical Test - As a mechanical engineer, you will get questions from your core field.

    Age limit:
    Minumum 18 and maximum 25 yrs.

    Physical fitness is also mandatory.
    Be prepared and keep updated with notifications appearing in national newspapers.
