    IES or Indian Engineering Services exams.
    This exam is conducted by UPSC each year
    Minimum eligibilty to apply is BE/BTECH Pass
    Age of the candidates should be between 21 and 30 years

    This exam is filled to fill posts in the below streams of Engineering:
    Mechanical
    Electrical
    Civil
    Electronics and Telecommunications.

    The posts are filled in the below Government departments and Offices:
    Indian Railway Service
    Indian Railway Stores Services
    Indian Defence Service of Engineers
    Indian Ordance Factories Services.
    Central Water Engineering Gr. 'A' Service
    Central Engineering Service (Roads) Group-A.
    Assistant Executive Engineer in Border Roads Engineering Service Gr. 'A'


    GATE exams are conducted by IIT
    Minimum eligibilty to apply is BE/BTECH Pass

    If you clear the GATE exams you get scores based on the performance in the written exams of GATE
    GATE scores are used by public sector companies to shortlist candidates for job interviews
    GATE scores are used by IIT and few other engineering colleges for MTECH admission
