Hi..........
No it is not necessary that you have more than 60% marks in all the semesters. All these IT companies does not ask you your marks by semester what they really want is your aggregate/average % should be more than 60%.
so don't bother if you have less than 60% mark in one of your semester. what you really need to do is to have your average of % more than 60.
Other than that they also ask if you have current backlog or not. previous backlog doesn't matter you should not have a back log at the time of recruitment.
good luck
The selection criteria and procedure for different companies varies. It is a fact that there are companies which ask for cut off in each semesters. But, don't worry, there are many other top level companies which doesn't bother about semester percentages. It is important that you clear all your live back logs if any by the time companies approach your campus for placements.
Try to improve your average percentage as some companies puts the cut off as 65%. Individual semester percentages doesn't matter a lot.
All the best ! You have good amount of opportunities.
