The minimum qualification required to apply for Airforce jobs is to complete 12th.
After 12th only,you can join Air Force.
After 12th,you can apply for NDA exam through which you will get a job in Indian Air Force.
NDA is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.The age limit to apply for NDA is 16.5 to 19 years.

The examination will be Held on 15/April/2012.

In air force you can join in different categories

To join in NDA you should have Intermediate qualification
If you select in NDA exam you will be trained in airforce for 3 years along with a degree
So with NDA you can complete graduation and after that you will get a job in airforce

Other wise you can get a technical job in airforce
Qualification : BE/B.Tech

Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for CDSE exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics.

B-TECH ans BE student are also eligible for this exam .But you have not any Pending Backlog.

Final Year student are also eligible for CDSE exam.There is no percentage marks criteria.

this exam is conducted twice a year
1.in mid april

this exam consists of two parts:

following are the posts aquired by this test
1.technical branch:

AGE LIMIT:18-28 years of age
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

2.flying branch:

AGE LIMITS:minimum of 19 years of age and maximum of 23 years.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:The candidate must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test.It is a test held to appoint candidates for various branches of Indian Air Force through a single application form made by the candidates.

There are three posts for this,
1 Flying Branch
2 Technical Branch
3 Ground Duty Branch

AFCAT is a common admission test for a duration of two hours of 100 questions for 300 marks.3 marks for right and 1 mark deduction for each wrong answer.,it is a multiple choice question test having following sections:
1 Verbal Ability
2 Numerical Ability
3 Reasoning
4 General Awareness
5 Aptitude

The candidates shortlisted on the basis of AFCAT are called for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards.After the interview,one more test has to be taken by the person.
a) Pilot Aptitude Battery Test for flying branch
b) Engineering Knowledge Test

After the eligible candidates are selected on their eligibilities and recommendation of the AFSB,the medical test is held.After selecting the eligible and medically fit candidates,the training is done .

5.Your height is 157 cms for males and 152 cms for females.

Dear Friend,The Indian Air Force has different educational criteria depending on the category which the candidate wishes to join. A student who has passed Matriculation/ 10th class passed or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any Govt recognized school/Boardsin the age of 17-25 years can join the Group Y. The trade for which he will be eligible will be Musician trade. the maximum age for this post os 40 years
