You have a very good qualification. There are quite a number Railway jobs after B.tech in Mechanical Branch. The selection process is done through Combined Engineering Service which is conducted by UPSC. The recruitment is done is Civil, electrical, Mechanical and Electronics engineering every year. You can also apply through Special Class Railway Apprentices examination. The engineers have 3 years of probation during this training is given at railway staff college vadodara. There are various post like Assistant Executive Engineers, Executive Engineers, and Superintendent Engineers and so on.You can also apply for IPWE diploma course of engineering conducted by Railways Itself. it is a one year course. Also RRB and railway psus from time to time advertise their openings in various newspaper you can check apply there also.

The best option for you is IES.You can get into railways by getting good rank in IES.This exam is conducted by UPSC every year for Civil,Mechanical,Electrical and Electronics.
Another option is to appear through SCRA for Assistant Engineer post.You can also apply through the RRBs for the post of Station engineer or IoW etc.You can also get into railway PSUs like IRCON,AFCON etc which recruits mechanical engineers in good numbers
