Public Sector Jobs for IT Graduates

First of all, you have to know that a minimum of 65% is asked for most of the public sector engineering jobs. As you have less than 60% in the engineering graduation, its difficult to get core jobs.

As you are a 2011 passout, you may have completed some short term courses in your core sector. These courses will help you to balance with the gap in between your studies and a job.

    Banking Sector Jobs

You can look for banking sector jobs. Knowledge in Information Technology technical will help you in the interview stage. But you have to clear the written test to get shortlisted for the interview.

The selection test will examine your aptitude abilities. SBT and IBPS are the next exams coming in the banking sector. IBPS will be scheduled during the month of December or January.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection exam is conducted to find prospective candidates for Probationary officer and clerical posts in regional banks. The probationary period is normally under two years.

    Hello,

You can apply for the railway and banking sector jobs where the eligibility criteria is around
    50-55% marks in graduation.
You can also apply for the defense jobs also. Also in the IAS/PCS also.
In SSC also you can try.
If you are in reserved category then you have more chances regarding the marks.

    Good Luck.

Re: Job possibilities in government Engineering sector after BE in IT branch?

    Dear friend..

After your BE IT degree you can get a job in many software companies.
There are many IT companies where you can get a job and also in many Govt. companies.

You should have 60% in your 10th,12th and graduation degree to apply for all the Govt. companies.
You have less then 60% so you can't apply to all of the Govt. sectors but you can get a job in some of them.

Your aggregate is less then 60% so you can't get a job in the MNC companies.

There are many companies which requires 60%.

    The companies like:-
    MTNL
    HAL
    BEL
    MOIL
    ONGC
    JNDAL
    BSNL
    SAIL
    DVC
    BHEL
    NTPC
    Broadcast Engg. Consultants India Ltd.
    Engineering Projects (India) Ltd.
    Heavy Engineering Corporation
    Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.

You can get a job in some of them companies but not in all of them.
With less then 60% you can't apply to all of the companies.

    Best of luck!
