How is the working conditions in CSE and ECE streams? Please also provide information about other issues as well i.e. job security, salary etc?

Hi,

I have given AIEEE 2011 well and hope I will be going to NIT calicut next.

Are there any NIT Pass-outs or any one pls help me choose My branch Between Computer Sc and Electronics&Communication /Electonics&Electrical Engineering

#just to get at least a rough idea about the life after the NIT (which highly depends on the decision I make now) so that i could choose better bcos i don't wanna regret later .Please help :

Q1) How is the working conditions (on getting the jobs) in both these streams,job security,living,salary,please compare..

Q2) What may be jobs?? after getting one, what is that we should do in both streams??
ie, typing codes in PC,supervision,paper writing work ,or what is that we would be made to do??
Q3)Any more tips??

EEE is most sought after as it is a core field that is inevitable in all industries. Ece is common among the masses and there is strict competition to get a good core job.
Once u are CS engineer you will spend most of ur life in coding. If the company is good like google, microsoft etc you will enjoy a heavy pay. But if u end up in third grade IT company your life will be a mess.
But if you are interested in industrial field work dont go for it.
Everything depends on the type of recruiters coming to your college. Make an early decision.

You are asking to help you in selecting your group between CSE and ECE
~ I suggest you to join in ECE than CSE because if you join in ECE after completing your
course during placements time you will have chance to get jobs related to EEE ,ECE and
CSE
So i suggest you to join in ECE
~ IF you join in CSE or EEE you will have opportunities to get job related to EEE or CSE
~WHEN you are learning ECE you will lear science subjects and also subjects related to
computers also
