    Dear Rahul,

Getting core job after ECE is not so easy. There are the following ways through which you can manage core job as freshers:

    1. GATE EXAM- Various renouned govt. companies( which are called NAVARATNA category company) like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL are recruiting freshers through GATE score.
So you have to prepare well for GATE exam if you want to work in core companies.

    2. Training in some TELECOM industry like VODAFONE, AIRTEL, BSNL etc through which you can manage the core job with very little amount of pay in these companies. And after you good experience you can get good salaries. Otherwise you can't get good salary package like software companies in these companies as they don't require freshers but they recruit experienced candidates.

To step forward in BSNL you can wait for JTO(Junior Telecom Officer) Exam. Through this exam BSNL recruit B.Tech ECE freshers.

3.Some UPSC exam like IES, Engineering Service, CDS etc. you can appear for these exam where ECE are applicable.

In addition, if you enter in Software Industry then after 2 or 3 years you can goes for other companies that may be the field of ece or, may not be. But this completely depends on your area of work in software industry.
