Re: How the Railway Department recruitments are made?

All recruitments in the railway departments are made through RRB or Railway Recruitment Board
Indian railways have staffs in 4 categories- Group A , B (Gazetted Posts) and Group C, D( Non-Gazetted posts

Railway recruitment boards hires for all the vacancies that are there in Group C and Group D
there are 20 Railway recruitment boards in our country and these 20 boards are controlled by railway recruitment control board

Each of these 20 boards advertise there vacancies

All these vacancies are advertised in Employment news paper

Group A posts in railways are filled by the exams and interview conducted by UPSC

Indian Railway recruits through examination conducted by Railway recruitment Boards or RRBs as short. There are 19 of them in the entire country. They recruit on a national basis. The vacancies comes out for each Board every year for various posts.Few posts vacancies comes out after a bit of time as 2years or so but then the number of such vacancies are also much higher. You can keep checking the website of the RRBs for knowing about the vacancies.Or else you can also check Employment News to know about the vacancies based on your qualification.
