    How to prepare for ISRO Written exam as doing B.E in Mechanical engineering?

    hi..i'm sunny
    i'm doing B.E in mechanical engineering...i'm in the last year...i have filled the application form ISRO....i just want to know how to prepare for its written exam...they are tough or not...& also the selection process.

    you are eligible after graduation.
    ISRO is not tough if one prepares thoroughly the basics...
    One year preparation is sufficient for this exam....the selected candidates join ISRO as assistant scientist and have good salary and perks.
    The exam is just like that of PSU's.

    ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation) was one of the leading Space Organisation in the world and It was Controlled under the Government of India. As, for development of global environment and space research ISRO recruits its employs as scientists/Engineers every year by conducting an Entrance Exam.

    well, there is no specified syllabus for ISRO Exam being, Mechanical Engineer aspirant you can prepare your academic syllabus which was the syllabus for ISRO. Consider GATE syllabus for preparation. As, you had applied for ISRO then you can start preparation as the exam will be going to tough but practice makes perfect preparation.


    Syllabus for Mechanical Engineers:

    1) Engineering Mathematics
    2) Applied Mechanics and Design
    3) Fluid Mechanics
    4) Thermal Sciences
    5) Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering etc.......,



    Exam Pattern and Selection:

    ISRO Examination Paper Consists of 80 questions which carries +3 marks for correct answer and -1 for wrong answer. Duration of Exam will be last for 1.5 hours.

    Merely, Selection is based on Written Exam and Personal Interview . After, qualifying the written Exam the candidates will be shortlisted for Interview session.





    Preparation Tips:

    1) Collect Previous years ISRO exam papers and also GATE exam Papers and practice them thoroughly.
    2) Make sure to had grip at your branch syllabus of B.E.
    3) Attend Mock tests through offline or Online.
    4) As, there were no specific book for ISRO so, better get GATE preparation books and study materials.
    5) Prepare Strict time table and stick to it as the competition was going to be tough.

    All the exams are tough.Not just quality of questions but also the competition is huge for most of the technical exams.ISRO exam has only technical papers relevant to your stream of engineering.there will be no Non-technical portion in the ISRO exam such as GS,reasoning,Aptitude etc.You just concentrate on your subjects as questions will be purely from engineering stream.You can get previous year papers fo last 2-3years from the website of ISRO itself.You can prepare from books by G K Publications,Made Easy publications etc for Gate or PSUs.
