Re: How to prepare for campus placement and interview test?

Dear Friend, You have taken a very good decision that you start preparing campus placement from 3 year itself so that you can be get more time to prepare systematically and in focused manner .Campus interviews can be nerve-wrecking for any student. Review the interview schedule, research company profiles, submit your resume to companies for consideration and sign-up for interviews. Companies who do on-campus interviews fall into two categories: Those who have specific positions open and are looking to fill them, or those who are merely collecting more resumes. Unfortunately, it is often impossible to find out before the interview which category the company you are interviewing with falls into. Therefore, you need to find out which category the company you are talking to falls in. This can be accomplished easily by asking the interviewer whether there are specific positions the company is trying to fill. After all, if all the company wants out of the recruiting trip is some nice resumes, there is no need for the interviewee to sweat too much during the interview. The general rule of thumb is that generally the bigger the company is, the more likely the company is simply looking for resumes to put into its database. Spend time to learn about the company spend minimum 30 minutes on their web site. If the company is a publicly-traded company, find out its recent news. During the interview, the interviewer would not expect the interviewee to know everything about the company, but the interviewer would expect the interviewee to know the basics of the company.

There are totally 4 rounds followed in campus placement which as follows:-

    1. Aptitude Test
    2. Group Discussion
    3. Technical Interview
    4 HR Interview

To prepare for Aptitude test, the best book to follow is R.S.Aggarwal just buy the book and prepare for the topics given in that first from now onwards. Each company coming for campus placement follows a separate pattern of topics (questions) which you have to analyze by referring the previous year papers and prepare according to the pattern before the day or two. So for now buy the R.S.Aggarwal book and prepare for all the topics given in it. You need to have good verbal and non verbal skills. Just prepare a schedule daily, say one topic a day and work out 20-30 problems a day that will be more than enough as you have enough time for preparation.

To prepare for technical interview all you need is a good knowledge of all the core subjects which you studied in your second year. So before the placements just brush all the important concepts in your core subjects and answer the questions with confidence

To prepare for HR interview all you have to do is to improve your communication skills because there will be like 5-10 personal questions asked which you will be selected if you answer it with confidence and proper words. You can get Technical interview questions from google or www.freshworld.com

You are doing B.Tech with EEE branch, after 1year you will have to attend campus placement and face interview,so to get a job
you need to be very sincere in your studies.
You should buy a book named Quantitative Aptitude of R.S. Agarwal which will help you a lot in your placement.
You have to complete the book then only you can solve the aptitude test conducted by the companies.
You also need to have a good English speaking power to attract the Interviewer to your side.
There are various sections held by different interviews but aptitude test is must.
    Some companies have rounds like:-
    1)Aptitude Test
    2)Gd Section
    3)Technical Round
    4)HR Round

If you can cross all these rounds then you can get a job in any of these companies with a good salary.
So start preparing for the interview.
HOPE THIS INFORMATION WILL HELP YOU .....................

Re: How to prepare for campus placement and interview test?

Yes you can prepare for the campus placement and interview on yourself. If you are thinking that I cannot do this then you can take help from the coaching centers and any other experienced person. During the campus placement some companies are taking the written test so first you have to prepare for that. In the written test only basics things are asked and you have to reply only question which you know. Donít give the wrong answer.

During the interview time it is not decided before that what type of question they will ask from you. But for the interview your dress code, looking style, communication skills should be better.

    Dear friend,

    * Getting placed on campus is an important factor in every college student's life.

    * So, you are going to face your interview and i will help you out to get the ideas and tips to clear the same.

    * The interview or the recruitment generally consists of three to four rounds.

    * Most of the top leading IT and CORE concerns have the following rounds.

    1.APTITUDE ROUND

    2.TECHNICAL ROUND

    3.GD

    4.NON TECHNICAL HR ROUND

    * So, in the aptitude round, your logical reasoning, problem solving abilities, reasoning techniques will be analysed.

    * You can prepare the same with R.S.AGARWALL quants book.

    * The next round is generally technical and it focuses well on programming languages like c,c++,java,.net,sql etc.

    * So you will have to focus well on them and have a sound knowledge.

    * Certificated courses like java , oracle is an added advantage,.

    * The non technical HR round generally deals with assessing your interpersonal proficiency.

    * The interviewer will just assess your confidence and communication

    * The GD depicts your originality.

    Best wishes :-)

    Software companies

As an electrical engineering graduate, you can find jobs in the electrical core field itself. But during campus placement, you should prepare for software companies also.

This is because, though you are not interested in software companies, its one of the comparatively easy opportunity to get a job offer before completing the course.

    Campus placement

You will face very high competition in core technical jobs. So, though you are not planning to join, make sure that you get a job offer from the company in campus placement season itself.

Its difficult to get a job offer once you pass out of the college. So having a placement in your hand is very much helpful in making your career decision once you pass out.

    GATE exam

If you are planning for electrical jobs, you should prepare and write the GATE exam in the final year. it has dual advantages in MTech course admission and getting a job.

Its said that to know what you have studied in the four year engineering, you should atleast once prepare for the GATE exam. So, plan your goal and start working.

    All the Best
