am a student who has completed his mechanical engg. (pune university) in 5 years, i have losed my 1 year .can i get a good job ...? where and how much will be apporox. salary .........?
No one can define the amount. It may vary from 3-20 lackhs pa. It all depends on various factors listed below-
~The college from which you have completed your engineering. Govt. colleges have obviously a better placement record and the companies that come there do offer high packages to students.
~The university to which your college is affiliated to.
~The company in which you are selected. Companies like Infosys which recruit even mechanical and electrical students from various private colleges gives a very less package of around 3 lackh/annum. This is because its not a core company. If you are selected in your core company they automatically your chances of getting good package increases.
~The most important factor is your knowledge. If you have good knowledge then you might get a less pay full job at the start of your career but after some experience gained your value will increase exponentially.
So, its the mixture of all these factors. But always try to go into your core company because there only you would be able to use your skills and knowledge that you have gained during your engineering.
