Re: How much marks are required to pass 2012 clerk exams?

In first IBPS Clerk exam 2011 minimum qualifying marks for a general category was 24 marks out of 50 marks in each subjects & 21 marks out of 50 marks in each subjects for a reserved category candidates. But banks which are included under IBPS had asked for high cut off marks for interview. This year number of questions have been decreased by IBPS & so marks. So,right now it is not possible to tell you about the cut off marks to pass the exam. So,have to wait till the result gets declared. But it would be good if you score more than 130 marks or 140 marks to secure your place for interview. This time there will be common interview which will be conducted by IBPS.For more information visit www.ibps.in

dear friend you need to get atleast 50% marks in all the subjects together and individually also..In Ibps clerk there will be 5 sections that is:1. General Awareness2. Reasoning3. Quantitative Aptitude4. General English5. ComputersAll the sections in the previous exam was of 50 marks each and the passing were 21 marks for SC/ST/OBC and 24 marks for general category. And it is necessary to pass in all the sections seperately..But this year the marks for all sections are 40 marks and the total of the paper is 200 markas..Like earlier if the passing marks are 50% then you have to score 20 marks in each section..All the best

Re: How much marks are required to pass 2012 clerk exams?

Dear Friend, I hope you are asking about 2012 clerk exams in bank exam. Well there are various sections in Bank Clerk Exam as :

    Test of Reasoning Ability
    Test of Numerical Ability
    Test of English Language
    Test of Clerical Aptitude
    Test of Computer knowledge

As per cut off marks, it is going to be decided upon 2 things

-the number of candidates who have taken the exam
    -the difficulty of the exam
Generally, one should have to secure 40% of marks in each of the category to qualify in that category and this percentage will be little less for the candidates of SC/ST category. Normally, the candidates will be invited to the Interview in the ratio of 1:3 in the sense if there are 1000 positions for which you made notification, it will invite top 3000 candidates as per the score in the written exam to the Interview.

For SBI Clerk Exams, each section carrying 40 marks total 200 marks.Min qualifying marks in each section i.e general awareness 7 marks, general English 6 marks, quantitative aptitude 8 marks, reasoning ability 5 marks, marketing / computer knowledge 9 marks. Total min of marks 70marks .So, try to score as high as possible. As per my view, for the candidates of general category, they need to score a minimum of 80% to get call for the Interview.
