See it is very true that you might face some problems in finding a place in the IT sector due to yours shortage of marks in your whole acadamic career, but due to this don't get dishartened as there are various companies who recruite the applicant not only on his marks basis but also considers the applicant's skill and espects his speciality. Basically to get recruited in any of the IT firms you have to develop your software to such an extend so that it will overshadow your weak points which is your marks. To make yourself a good contender between other applicants for the interview , you have to develop good programming skills, along with knowledge of web as well as window programming , you have to also gather the knowlege of graphics, and have to be up to date with knowledge of programming languages like java or .net (as these languages are in demand now a days). Once you gather all these skills then surely you would get place in companies like FIDALITY, HEWLETT PACKARD, INTEL, SAPLAB, SYNTEL, ACCENTURE, HONEYWELL, ZENSAR, COGNIZANT, CISCO SYSTEMS.

dear first of all you have to eliminate the myth of having through out 60% above marks in academics... actually it is valid till you are in college & sitting in campus placments... or else very good MNC's have such criteria....

other than these your percentage is good in engineering the areas on which you have to focus is approach towards the companies while application.

first of all list out the possible companies of your defined domain...

search out their website for current openings, get the contact details, send your CV to them and then talk tot he HR department on the numbers given on website, get the name of the HR person & start building link with him / her.

linkedIn, Facebook, etc are excellent website for building professional relations...

forward CV to placement agencies, consultants, for getting a job.....

also linkedin provides excellent opportunity for jobs all over the world...
