i have done graduation in science stream and recently completed MBA in finance and marketing.
i wanna make my career in lectureship.and also know about NET exam.
does lectureship need any industry exposure?
can i apply for lectureship or i should go for industry job first?
i am confused.pls help me..

You said you are confused in between Lecturership and Industry job, But I do not think so , as you said you want to make your career in lectureship, I would highly recommend you to go for the same , there is no need to get confused , always go for the profession which you think you are made for, to get succeeded in a profession, requires Passion and commitment ..if you think you are passionate for teaching go for the same.

You can start up with Associate professor level job in any business school and can get promoted after clearing NET.
To start with lectureship a candidate do not require industry experience but yeah you can not start with premier business institute as the demand for previous Teaching experience.
So, I would suggest you join any college as an associate professor and earn some experience and if you can qualify NET do that , that would be highly beneficial for you.

Dear Friend, Don’t get confused. You are eligible to make a career in teaching field if you have secured a minimum of 55% in MBA. If you satisfy these criteria then you need to clear the NET exam. Once you clear this exam you will be eligible to work as a lecturer. You need to select management as a subject for the exam. Eligibility for appear in NET Exams -

Candidates belonging to the General Or Other Backward Classes, who have secured at least 55% marks in Master's Degree examination in Humanities and Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Sciences etc. are eligible to appear for this examination.

Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree final year examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.

UGC NET Examination Fee -

For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs.450/-; for Other Backward Classes the fee is Rs. 225/- and for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates, it is Rs. 110.
