How to become DGP? Need details about TNPSC Group 1 exam in brief?

I want all the details about tnpsc group 1 exam.. age limit.. qualification.. how to prepare and exam format.. i want to become a DGP in TN. kindly help. dont give me links to other websites. and dont post wrong info. i know nothing about the exams but becoming a DGP is my dream. also give me information on how to become a comissioner , ADGP and other police related jobs in tnpsc group 1 exams. im 20 yrs old. doing final year EEE.

DGP by TNPSC?? not possible.. u should go with U.P.S.C exam... u must be selected as an IPS officer... DGP is highest ranking in the police department.. after getting all the
promotions u can be a DGP...

Hello Friend,

Director General of Police(DGP) is the Top most Position related to Police Department. As, you can't directly get appointed as DGP first you have to become an IPS(Indian Police Service) Officer by Clearing an UPSC exam.

After, joining as IPS officer and there by serving the post for some years on promotions you may able to hire DGP post.

PROCEDURE TO BECOME AN IPS OFFICER:

> First of all you need to Clear TNPSC Group-I Exam to become an IPS Officer. So, Clearing the Exam is not an easy task and there were going to be a huge Competition among the people for the Post.

> As, the Exam were Conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission of India).


Eligibility Criteria for IPS Officer:

1) The Person must Complete his/her Bachelor's Graduation from any Stream which was recognized from any University or Board.

2) Age limit should be 21-30 years old. Relaxation will be provided according to Notification.


EXAM FORMAT:

> As, the exam will be going to be Conducted in two stages namely Preliminary and Mains. After Clearing the Prelims you're eligible to take Mains.and there by a Personal Interview will be held.

> As, both prelims and Mains were conducted in different months of the same year.

> Duration of Exam will be 120 minutes.

> Mostly, the Syllabus of Exam will be from:

1) General Studies
