    Hello Friend,

CAT(Common Admission Test), MAT(Management Aptitude Test), XAT(Xavier's Aptitude Test) and all the three were National Level Entrance Exam for Getting admission into IIM's.

As, CAT is preferred among various Business schools in India and Abroad. where MAT and XAT were also Considered to be good One.

    Eligibility for CAT,MAT,XAT exams:

    > The Person must be Graduated in any discipline with aggregate of 50% marks in their academic year which was recognized from any University or board.

    > No age bar and Reservation of seats will be provided for SC/ST/OBC

As, CAT and XAT were Conducted Once in a Year where as MAT will conducts 4 times a year.

Duration of Exam for all the three exams will last for 180 minutes.

Syllabus for All three Exams will almost Same and they Consists questions from:

    Mathematics
    Logical Reasoning
    Data Interpretation
    English Grammar
    Current Affairs

In, my point of view it will be better to write CAT exam. which is valid more than 100+ Business schools.

    • For pursuing the Master of business administration (MBA), qualifying in the MBA entrance examination is very necessary.
    • Firstly if you are seeking to take admission in any particular university, then you have to go for that entrance examination which that university accepts.
    • For applying in the Common admission test (CAT), you need to have minimum 50% marks in graduation and for the reserved category students it's 45% only.
    • You can apply for MAT or XAT, as it requires just the completion of graduation.

Re: Which exam should i give after B.Com Graduation - CAT or MAT or XAT?

    Hi dear,

CAT MAT and XAT are exams conducted by different institutes for taking students into their own institution.

CAT is conducted to help students get admitted into IIM's and other top B-schools of India.

XAT is for Xaviers Institute of Management.

MAT is for other Management schools.

It is better if you take on 3 exams.
As all the exams are for same result only but with different scopes.
So you have options open if you are unable to crack an entrance due to some wild reasons.

Even you can try and appear for GRE,GMAT,SNAP,TANCET.

Well the eligibility criteria is graduation pass in any stream with minimum 50% or more marks.

So try your luck appear for all the exams and then choose the college you wanna go.

    All the best

    My dear friend.

In my opinion all these are well known and prestigious exams.

But since you are from a Commerce background so on the basis of that i will suggest you to go for CAT exam.

CAT stands for Common Admission Test.

On the basis of CAT marks you can do MBA in top business colleges of India like IIM's.

So i will personally suggest CAT exam.

    Rest it depends on you.

    Best of Luck.
