    Both technical jobs and non technical jobs are available in the Railway department. The selection procedure for both are different and are conducted by different agencies. There are opportunities for both electrical and mechanical specialized persons for engineering jobs in railway section. Experience has a much importance to get these jobs.

    If you have qualification for non technical jobs, then you can apply for the job through RRB. They are responsible for the selection process and the publication of notification. Railway Recruitment Board is conducting the selection test for non technical jobs in railway department. Its basically an aptitude test. The exam analyze your skills in English, general arithmetic and quantitative ability. Goods guard, traffic apprentice, traffic assistant, assistant station master etc are the various posts that are filled through this exam.

    If you have technical qualification in fields like electrical, civil, mechanical etc, then you can find good job profiles in the Railway. Core branches like electrical, civil and mechanical graduates are having more chances compared to other branches of engineering graduation. There are core job opportunities for graduates. Indian Railway Service of Engineers (Civil), Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers, Indian Railway Service of Signal & Telecommunication Engineers, Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers etc are the technical job options.

    The technical jobs require basic qualification in engineering. A minimum of 65% is required to apply for the selection process. An experience in the technical field will improve your job profile. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the exam. Combined Engineering Services Examination held in the month of July is the exam for engineering jobs.

    Hello friend,

    Educational qualification;
    You must be obtain a minimum +2 or above...depending up on the type of job...the certificate from a recognized university...
    Age limit:
    You must be the age group of 18 too 28 years of age..relaxation is there for reserved candidates

    dear friend,

    In the railways department job posts divided in four parts :

    Group A
    Group B
    Group C
    Group D etc

    Group A and Group B are technical job posts fo rth e engineering degree students which can get through the civil service entrance exam has been conducted by UPSC department

    2. For the Group C and Group D are non-tech department any graduate , 12th passed students through the RRB entrance exam conducted by RRB department

    Hello,

    You can apply for the Railway job posts through a number of ways.
    You have not specified your age, educational qualification, category etc.
    There are different entries according to the qualification.

    You can apply for the jobs in railway through SSC, RRBs UPSC also.
    There are two categories of jobs technical and and non-technical.
    These are grouped in to 4 groups:
    Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D.

    For technical jobs degree is required and others can apply for the non-
    technical jobs.
