Re: Difference between IAS and IPS Entrance exam? What is the paper pattern of this exams?

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service whereas IPS stands for Indian Police Service. If anyone qualified civil service examination, by ranking he should get the post of IAS or IPS officer. Civil Service Exam is conducted by UPSC every year. Best ranking student get the post of IAS officers and who has lower ranking get the post of IPS officers.

From this year there is change in civil services examination. There is preference of general awareness among students in MAINS examination. A 100 marks paper also included of English Language.Attempting candidates only have to pass this examination. PRE paper is based on CSAT pattern. There is a increase in numbers of interview. FROM 2013 total marks of civil services examination is 2305.

    GOOD LUCK.
