Can a MNC working B.Tech (IT) candidates can join teaching field? Whether M.Tech is usefull for entering in Teaching field? What is the salary in teaching profession? What benefits one will get if he/she join MNC after M.Tech?

    Hi,
I am a btech in IT and have recently joined a reputed MNC with package more than 6 lpa. However , I m a little confused in deciding my career path. I have an inclination towards teaching. Just wanted to know whether an mtech from institutes like IITs , IISC help in giving me an edge above others. What will be my approximate income if I take up teaching as a profession? Or incase I decide to join some MNC again , after mtech , what will be my position in that case ! Will an mtech degree prove to be beneficial or I would have to repent due to the loss of two years in which I could have gained crucial industrial experience

You are not going to be a project manager in 2years.Infact your 1st year in the company will be as a probationary. And Post graduation is far more valuable than your starting year experience. You will get direct posts of senior software developer and you know well about the industry standards. You may even get placed in some better MNC through placement. But you should try for only IITs or IISc for M.Tech else you will not gain much benefit as compared.
Regarding teaching line, you can any time switch to teaching profession. You can join private colleges or apply for NET and get into govt universities as a faculty. You will definitely get more than your 6lpa after M.Tech from any IITs for lecturer in private institutions. But it would be better to gain some experience in your stream,to know about your skills in this field and then go for teaching line. You can switch easily from IT industry to Teaching but that is not true vice versa.

You need not do any certification nor PG for working in coaching Institutes. They test and value your knowledge rather than your qualification. So better start searching now if you feel you are really good at teaching

Hi,I am a B.tech(computer science &Engineering)fresher(currently appeared in final semester examination and now I am awaiting for result).I recently got a chance to do M.tech in Computer Technology(3 years) from Jadavpur University.Well if I will go
for M.Tech whether it will be helpful for me to get a good MNC job(with higher scale of salary) or not?I mean, whether this 3years M.Tech course will be helpful for me to get a good company\'s job rather than what a B.Tech fresher wil get or it s just helpful for teaching based job.please tell me what will be good for me.

    dear friend,

i can't understand why do you want to go for the engineering if you are working in the MNC. this is the best opportunity for you. there are many good MNCs for which you can switch, that will provide the best package firther.

but the interest is the interest. if you want to do the teaching then according to me you should do the m.tech, you have to fight the GATE exam and then you can do this course.
there are many good college where you can go for the guest faculty in india.
you will gain 20000 per moth salary.

    so best of luck
