    Hi,
Well it is really good to see that you want to get a defense job. But for this you need to clear the CDSE or Combined Defense Services Exam. If you clear this examination you will selected in the army as an officer. Now you already have M.Sc. in chemistry so you are more than eligible for the CDSE examination. In CDSE the genre of education never matters, only the degree matters. But two more things that you need to keep in mind before applying for the examination is that you must be with 14 years of age and also you must be single and not married. Since you will be applying for CDSE so you will have to apply for the UPSC held examination in either April or in September. Since you can now only apply for next year's examination, you need to go the April examination,2013. If you clear the examination you will be called by the interview board of CDSE and you will have to go through other tests other than the interview and that includes physical fitness and mental ability tests. After all proper medical and intellectual examinations, if they find you eligible, they will select you as one of the officers.
