Re: Can i give Bank exams at the age of 17 years?

No, you cannot give bank exams at the age of 17 years.

The minimum age to apply for bank exams is 18 years.

Eligibility for Bank Clerk:Educational qualification: 12th with 60% for general category and 55% for reserved category or any degree from recognized university.

    Age Criteria: Minimum: 18 years
    Maximum:28 years

Age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as follows:

    3 years for OBC.
    5 years for SC/ST.
    10 years for PWD.

Even with 12th as your qualification, your chances will be low, you need to complete your graduation, because many banks are changing their eligibility condition to graduation.

IBPS recently changed its criteria to graduation.

So, its better you complete your graduation and then try for bank exams.

    Hi

Your grades are indeed very good and you should take your career very seriously as I can see its very bright in the future.. Talking of the bank jobs, I would like to elaborate a bit more on it.. Banks are in plenty and they are in both Government and Private Sector..Some of the top banks would be ICICI, HDFC, IDBI, Barclays, SBI, PNB, CBI, etc.. and many more..

So you can THINK of taking up the BANK JOBS as they have got HUGE scope in the coming years..However I must tell you that there are two entries in the Banks as :
    CLERICAL
    PROBATIONARY OFFICER

So the Age criteria for them is : Clerical - 18-28 and Probationary Officer - 20-28. However for the IBPS Clerical from this year its 20-28 for Clerks as well as they have raised the Educational Criteria to a minimum graduate..

Thus you can always apply for the SBI Clerical entry. However I would have to tell you that at 17 years you cannot. However wait for another year and then you can apply for it..

    Hope this helps
    All the best
    Regards
    Ranjeet

No.At the age of 17 years old you are not applicable for bank clerk exam. The age crteria for bank exam.

The minimum age should be 18 years old for SBI and IBPS Clerk exam.

Theminimum age should be 21 years old for PO exam.
