    Yes, you can appear for IES in EE if you graduated from a recognized university. The eligibility criteria as far as education is concerned is as under.

    At least a bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech) from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain services / posts only.

    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

    If you have completed Engineering course from Electrical ,Mechanical ,Civil and ECE then also you are applicable for IES exam OR If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

    You have completed B-Tech degree in E&T stream so you are applicable for IES exam.If you can choose Electrical engineering , then it will not create any problem .You can choose any one subject from given above .

    The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

    Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time.

    for appearing in the engineering services IES exam, you need to fulfill the educational requirement that you should be a graduate in any of the following fields-
    mechanical engineering
    electrical engineering
    civil engineering
    electronics and communication engineering
    and as E&T branch is the sub division of electrical engineering branch, therefore you can apply for the IES in electrical engineering subject. It might be occurring that a couple of subjects are not included in your syllabus but are present in the IES syllabus due to their presence in the electrical engineering. Therefore, you need to adjust yourself accordingly

    I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for I.E.S exam after passing B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

    I.E.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

    Yes you are eligible for IES exam.

    Required Requirements for IES exam:


    For attending the IES exam, required educational qualifications are you must completed the in any one of the branch of engineering graduation from recognized university and here not required any percentage.

    = = > Civil Engineering,
    = = > Mechanical Engineering,
    = = > Electrical Engineering,
    = = > Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

    Required age limit should be between 21-30 years and here age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per govt rules such as 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    You mus remember, you can attempt the ies entrance exam only 4times for general candidates and 7 times for OBC candidates and SC/ST candidates have NO LIMIT as per govt rules and you must be physically fit.

    You must be Indian citizen.
