Re: Can a final year B.Com student give CAT exam?

If you want to appear in CAT exams which ate conducted by IIM, than you need to have minimum 50% aggregate marks in Graduation.

I would suggest that you should work hard and try to get good marks in your Final year, so that you can get more than 50% marks in your Graduation.

Apart fropm CAT you can appear in other MBA written tests also

    These Tests are:
    >> CAT-- Graduation pass with minimum 50% marks.

    >> SNAP- Graduation pass with minimum 50% marks

    >> MAT- Graduation pass

    >> XAT- Graduation pass

    >> CMAT- Graduation pass

I would suggest that you should give the MBA written tests in the year 2013
You should start preparing for these exams right now only

Questions will be asked from the Below Sections in CAT Exams:
    Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation;
    Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning

Re: Can a final year B.Com student give CAT exam?

    • Your's having a 50% marks aggregate in the B.com degree is very essential to be eligibile for the CAT.
    • CAT stands for the common admission test which is conducted by the Indian institute of management (IIM).
    • However if you are from the reserved category then only 45% is required.
    • So try to score such marks in b.com final year which exceeds the required marks for it.
    • There are many other entrance examination apart from CAT which are management admission test, xaviers admission test.

    hi
yes you can apply for the CAT exam being in the final year of your graduation. But you need to keep this in mind that in case you are selected and get calls from the different colleges, then at the time of your interview and admission you should be having completed your graduation and should be having all of your mark sheets along with you. If you did not have your mark sheets or degree at the time of your interview or admission, then your admission might be denied by the officials of the particular university or college

    Dear Friend,
I am sorry to say that you cannot apply for CAT exam since your aggregate is below 50% but you can appear for other exam for MBA.

There are also several more exam that you can appear for with less than 50% marks:-

    ><MAT

    ><XAT

    ><GMAT,etc.

Even there are also good management institutes which conducts entrance exam for admission in the MBA stream and does not ask for any marks percentage.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED EXAMS:-

    ><Should ahve a graduation degree in any stream.

    ><There is no minimum marks required.

    ><Age of the candidates should be minimum 17years.

    ><Should have good skills of communication and smart attitude.

The final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

Re: Can a final year B.Com student give CAT exam?

    hi dear,
You can appear for CAT while you are pursuing your final year in B.Com.

The minimum marks in graduation required to be eligible for CAT is 50%. So you have to get minimum 50% marks.

While there are other exams which you can give. These just have the eligibility criteria of graduation pass
    And they are
    XAT
    MAT
    GRE

So start preparing for these entrance exams as they need too much of hard work and calculation speeds.
So go to some institute and start preparation as soon as possible.

    All the best
