Yes ,You can apply.company like IOCL call candidates based on GATE score,but companies like ONGC and NTPC will conduct their own entrance exam.
The minimum eligibility score is 60%.

if you want to go for the govt jobs then are eligible for this opportunity after your graduation. if you have apply for the ONGC and the NTPC then you have to do the hard work.
you have to study some extra for these jobs. you have to prepare these subjects:-
aptitude
english
reasoning
maths
computer
etc.
so you have to fight the competition for this opportunity.

60% marks in graduation is enough to apply for ONGC,NTPC,BHEL and IOCL but all this is possible only when you have a good score in GATE.GATE score is mandatory for the recruitment process. Later if you possess a good score in GATE(GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING),your academic percentage is taken into consideration. So the basic thing to get into the recruitment process is to appear for the GATE EXAM.

Dear Friend, Yes definitely you can apply these companies. However this time in GATE 2012 many PSU going to recruit through gate score followed by interview. Please note that gate score will be only used to short listing.There will definitely be some interview after that.Earlier only IOCL was selecting through GATE from 2010 onward but From 2012 BHEL ,NTPC, Indian Oil,ISRO,DRDO,TRANSCO,ZENCO ,SAIL are to join the club for short listing via gate score.Last year only 5 laks student applied for GATE but this year it has become double then the last year. It has become 11 laks so you have to really work hard to get into these companies.GATE score is benifical in getting job as well as for your higher studies like M.Tech in India.

I'm sorry but you cannot apply for any of the above mentioned companies as the minimum marks to be secured during your graduation is 65%.

Even if you try to apply online the computer will not finish the registration and you cannot move further.

Hence it would be best if you choose to go for higher studies such as M.E/M.Tech.
