    Am i eligible to write NET exam after completing M.Sc. (IT)?

    I have completed M.Sc.(IT). Is it compulsory to write NET for me to work as a lecturer for Computer Science?? If so, what is the procedure to write NET for Computer course?? give me the details...

    NET Stands for National Eligibility Test. It is Conducted twice every year by the University Grants Commission in the months of June & December.NET is held for the post of Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship.

    The Essential Requirements for NET Exam:-

    You must have completed Mater degree(post graduation) in any steam from recognized Institute/University.

    You must pass your Master's degree with minimum of 55% marks(50% for ST/SC/PH) .

    Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for this Exam

    Yes , M.Sc in IT degree holder candidate are applicable for UGC NET Exam but you can apply here through Computer Application .

    The age limit for the post of JRF is 21-28 years whereas there is no age limit for the post of lecturer.

    Last date for receipt application of 2013 June is already over so you can try for December session
    .

    Hai,Yeah you are eligible for NET exam. NET exam conducted by the UGC(University Grants Commission) twice in a year.Eligibility criteria:-The candidate should be complete master's degree with atleast 55 % of marks from a recognised university.Applicant must be a citizen of India.5% of marks relaxation for SC/ST candidates.Age criteria:-The maximum age limits for JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) is 28 years. Relaxation is as per the govt rules.There is no age limit for Lectureship.All the best.

    Hello,

    Yes, you are eligible for NET exam. The following is the criteria for NET exam,

    AGE LIMIT & RELAXATION : Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on 01.06.2013. A relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PWD/OBC.


    Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masterís Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Masterís degree or equivalent examination
    are eligible for this Test.

    Candidates who have appeared
    OR will be appearing at the qualifying Masterís degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited
    OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.
