Re: Is 55% marks enough for SC candidates for finding government jobs?

Yes. 55% of marks are more than enough for the candidates of SC category to be eligible for Government jobs.

I have seen number of Government exams for government jobs.

    for many of them,

there is no upper age limit for the candidates of SC/ST category.

But there is minimum age required for the candidates.

In addition, completion of the course is just enough,

But for the candidates of other categories, some minimum percentage of marks are required.

    all the best

You have not mentioned your qualification for which you are searching job.Certain posts asks less than 55% for SC/ST candidates. But there are some govt services as in Defence services etc which asks for 60% or above irrespective of caste based reservation.Anyways, you will be having good chance in most of the govt job exams as moat of them would make you eligible to apply for the posts.Keep preparing hard as mere eligibility is nothing. You will need to qualify the exam as well.
